Hot Tip: Staying relaxed and making the most of your wedding portraits

staying relaxed and in the moment

You want your wedding photos to preserve what your day feels like, organically and naturally without it feeling forced- That’s where I come in!

Rest assured I’ve got your back- I’ve spent years working on how best to keep you both in the moment, suuuper relaxed and into each other, and not focussed on me or my camera! AND I do this while making the most of light and our surroundings so you really do get the best of everything-

  • Super relaxed, loved up portraits of the two of you that celebrate your little loved story

  • Epic images that your friends and family will swoon over

  • A friendly guiding hand so nothing feels awkward and there’s no “what do I do next?” Just real moments, big and small. And a whole lot of love.

You two. Your love. Wholly and unapologetically as you are. That’s the stuff we create together!

All I ask of you is that you stay 100% unapologetically yourselves- and I promise I’ll do the rest so that you get the most gorgeous portraits to cherish forever. I’ve got lots of little prompts and my “secret sauce” tips and tricks up my sleeve that not only keep you focussed on each other but are a whole heap of fun too!

let’s chat about golden hour

Have you heard about the ‘golden hour’? This is the hour before sunset that creates the most beautiful, soft, warm light and helps create incredible portraits. This is the ideal time for your wedding portraits as everything is softly lit by the setting sun, not to mention that it’s the perfect time of day to just take a moment, breathe in, and really be present in the moment and enjoy this beautiful part of your wedding day.

Depending on the season and the time of day, lighting conditions can vary a lot. So when we sit down to chat about your portraits I’ll always give you a heads up about what the light is most likely to be doing so we can plan together to create some truly epic portraits that celebrate you all year around!

If the sunset falls during your reception we can pop out for 10 minutes for some sneaky sunset portraits- this is also a beautiful opportunity for the two of you to take a moment , breathe in and just be present together.
