Tess and Chris' Heartfelt Farm Vigano Wedding

Tess and Chris' Heartfelt Farm Vigano Wedding

This is Tess and Chris’ story. Tess and Chris are two of the most genuine, down to earth people you could ever wish to meet. It was such an absolute pleasure being a part of their day. I hope you enjoy their story as much as I enjoyed photographing it.

Cara and Jacob's Glasshaus Inside Wedding

Cara and Jacob's Glasshaus Inside Wedding

Cara and Jacobs Glasshaus Inside wedding was a dream to be a part of. I was on a high for days after being a part of this day, and when Jacob later told me that he wasn’t normally into photos, but that my energy and enthusiasm was infectious, and that he was right into it- it only confirmed what I already thought- that these two absolute legends had an absolute blast and were so much fun to spend the day with.

Lauren and Ross' laid back Fitzroy Wedding

Lauren and Ross' laid back rainy Fitzroy Wedding

The rain was already coming in hard and sideways as I headed into Fitzroy for Lauren and Ross'  local wedding. An unprecedented rain event. A once in a generation downpour- that was the forecast for their day.

Just the day before their wedding, on a warm and clear December's afternoon I was walking along Brunswick Street, eyeing off cute little indoor spaces and approaching local businesses, asking them if we could photograph in their spaces, should the weather predictions prove true.

Lauren and Ross were Fitzroy locals, and had planned their entire wedding just streets away from their unit.

When I approached the local businesses in the area and explained the situation they were more than happy to help out a couple of locals on their wedding day- talk about community spirit!

Lauren and Ross, umbrellas in hand, ducked and weaved and laughed their way though the rain-soaked laneways of Fitzroy, and into the warmth and comfort of their local coffee shop, where we took some time out to just take in the day. Smells of coffee and cinnamon surrounded us as Lauren and Ross smiled and laughed together quietly.

In the weeks that followed we joked about the rain over a slow lunch, and yet more coffee,  as Lauren and Ross relived their day, browsing through their images for the first time.

"The rain was perfect Dee," I recall Lauren telling me, "And we just put our trust and faith in you because we could tell you had our back and were all over it. And we wouldn't have had it any other way. It was just perfect"

Their day is also featured on Ivory Tribe, you can see more of their day here.

Nat and Daniel's Urban Wedding

Nat and Daniel's Industrial Wedding in Melbourne

Nat, her bridesmaids and her mum were all hustled around her, delicately fastening and fussing over each button on her lace back dress. Sitting quietly a little distance from all the commotion was Nat's grandmother, taking it all in, her gaze transfixed on her granddaughter, as she prepared to wed her love, Daniel.

Following their ceremony at the local Ukrainian Church in Ardeer, in the inner western suburbs of Melbourne, Nat, Daniel and I took the opportunity to explore the surrounding suburbs. We ventured through the Old John Darling & Sons flour mill in Albion ( I accidentally set off an alarm and walked into a stack of pallets, which made for a good laugh or two!!) We finally ended our day together wandering through the old lane ways of North Melbourne. Here is their story.
